Going Naked for Harper's BAZAAR!

Photoshop and make-up free is the way to go these days.

The May issue of Harper's BAZAAR features Kim Kardashian giving "The Naked Truth" about embracing your curves. This is awesome that celebrities are finally showing that beauty has flaws and can be bigger than a size 0.

Joy Bryant is also appearing nude in the spread.

The photos were taken by Amanda de Cadenet and none of the shots are said to be retouched.

What is your opinion on magazine's going photoshop free?

We all know of the Fashion for Haiti t-shirts that went on sale during NY's Fashion Week to raise money for the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.

Well the money added up very quickly, since the shirts sale for only $25. Diane von Furstenberg along with Tory Burch and Andrew Rosen (CEO of Theory) presented Bill Clinton with a $1 Million check from the proceeds of the t-shirts.

The proceeds will go toward helping rebuild Haiti.

Kudos to the Fashion Industry!!!

You can still purchase this shirt online and at many in-store retailers. KEEP DONATING!!!!

Jessica Simpson goes Makeup Free

We all can see "The Real Jessica" on the cover of Marie Claire's May issue. She is going makeup free for the cover and inside spread.

There have been many paparazzi photos of Jessica with no makeup, so this won't be the first. However, I give her much respect...many celebs would never do such a thing.

It's important to me that females have strong self-esteem, not relying on clothing and makeup to make them feel worthy. We all love fashion and beauty, but that should just be an accessory to your total package.

Marie Claire along with Jessica Simpson is making a bold statement to women all of the country that you can be beautiful without makeup and photoshop. AWESOME!! Jessica, you have my respect!

Oprah Wears Isaac Mizrahi

We all know "small" is not in Oprah's vocabulary. Everything she does is BIG!! Whatever she touches or even says just blows-up.

O, The Oprah Magazine is celebrating 10 years. The anniversary issue (May) features Oprah posing alongside a decked-out tower cake, dressed in a sequin lilac custom gown designed by Isaac Mizrahi. I wont be surprised if Isaac's website gets flooded with request the day O hits newsstands. I must say, this would be awesome for any designer. However, First Lady Obama has been wearing Isaac Mizrahi, now he gets the cover of O! Kudos to you, Isaac.

The anniversary issue hits stands April 13th.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of O, Oprah and friends will be in N.Y.C for a weekend celebration. You can help her celebrate for a whopping $375.

French Marie Claire = AIRBRUSH FREE!

French Marie Claire is going airbrush free for their April cover featuring French actress, Louise Bourgoin. Not that she needs any photoshop work!

The entire issue is said to be airbrush free...mmmm I wonder how true that is.

However, I appreciate the effort because some magazines get carried away with retouching.

What are your thoughts of the extensive photoshop use in the fashion industry?

Lindsay Lohan's 6126 Clothing Line?

Lohan has created a 280-piece fall collection but I'm not too sure if I would call it CLOTHING!

She appears in the lookbook wearing thigh-high boots and a sequin leotard-jumpsuit (huh?) Maybe her hitch with Emanuel Ungaro has something to do with her new "clothing line"

Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Ron Herman brought the collection, so someone believes in L. Lohan! You will find pieces ranging from $60 up to $1,000.

Will you purchase 6126 clothing?

Iman the ICON

The CFDA will honor Somalian-born supermodel, Iman, as its FASHION ICON later this spring. It's about time...this is long over due.

Iman was one of the most sought-after models in the 1970's and 80's. She was a hot commodity for editors and designers due to her stunning, exotic looks. Iman is currently married to rock star David Bowie and founder of one of the most successful cosmetics companies targeted to women of color.

Do you agree with CFDA choosing Iman?
